This week saw us celebrating at the launch of the Q8 Spring Farm Machinery Show at Fintona, as 2018 will mark the 20th anniversary of the show.
The Fintona show had humble beginnings with just one hall at the Ecclesville Centre in Fintona, Co.Tyrone. In the 20 years of the show, it has grown to nine halls with over 250 exhibitors and features all of the key brands within the machinery and agri industry.
During the launch, it was an opportunity to reflect over the 20 years, and thank the exhibitors and sponsor such as Q8, Farming Life and Farm & Plant for all of their support and continued support for the shows.
Andrew our MD highlighted how the show is a family affair, with different generations pitching in with the work for the shows, with his brother David on the ground and his daughter Laura behind the scenes.
The launch saw the attendance of different exhibitors of the show, as well as representative from the Ulster Farmers Union. The President of the UFU, Barclay Bell, addressed the launch and highlighted the importance of shows, like the Spring Farm Show, are for not only farmers and people within the agri industry but for the rural communities themselves.
So with the launch over, it is full steam ahead for the shows in 2018. Here is to the next 20 years of the Q8 Spring Farm Machinery Shows.
