We have a specialist team available that travel to our events ensuring a consistently high standard of care and attention to detail, all under the command of our Managing Director Andrew Short, who is well known throughout the events industry.

Meet the team

Andrew Short - Managing Director

Andrew started AJS Event Specialists over 20 years ago and since then it has expanded year on year. It started with the first Farm Machinery Show in Fintona over 15 years ago - now the largest in Ireland and has since branched out creating Farm Machinery Shows in Millstreet Co Cork, Cavan and Balmoral as well as the original Fintona show. He has also established Prime Time Music which showcases the extremely popular Jamboree In The Park which first began in 2011 and now runs multiple times a year, with 2016 premiering the all new Jamboree Oktoberfest in October and the Jamboree Sessions in November.

Owner of the Halfway House pub in Tattyreagh, Omagh, Andrew has also created AJ'S Event Catering which caters anything from private events to the Balmoral Show. Andrew's motto in life is 'If at first you don't succeed, try, try again' - a motto which has clearly stood him in good stead as he continues to drive AJS Event Specialists to succeed in every aspect of the business.

Laura Short - Events Co-Ordinator Executive

Laura has been working for AJS full time for 3 years and co-ordinates all of the events from the Jamboree In the Park to the Farm Machinery Shows in Fintona, Cavan, Millstreet and Balmoral. Laura is also skilled in graphic design and creating promotional material for all of the events. The daughter of the Managing Director, Laura is extremely driven and is 'a chip off the old block!' in terms of executing their shared vision for the company. She is also the proud owner of Finn the office dog/ mascot.

Ashley Redmond - Advertising & Marketing Executive

Ashley recently obtained a first class Masters in Marketing and oversees the advertising and promotional activities for the events throughout the year. She previously worked in the equine industry working for a racecourse, the Racing Post and has recently moved to Tattyreagh. Ashley is excited to become a part of the AJS team!
